NEXT Studios is excited to welcome Dr. Bryan Ritchie as the new Enterprise Innovation Executive to the innovation studio.
Bryan is responsible for expanding the Studio work in corporate and community innovation, as well as startup company creation.
Before joining NEXT Studios, has has been a CEO and operator of many companies, particularly in software, investment, and consulting. In addition, Bryan also has extensive experience derisking deep tech intellectual property, including commercialization, venture studio, licensing, and venture capital at Michigan State University, the University of Utah, and the University of Notre Dame.
“In the face of accelerating change, organizations must become their own self-disruptors, or others will do it for them,” said John McDonald, Managing Entrepreneur of NEXT Studios. “We are thrilled to provide a platform for Dr. Ritchie to accelerate his innovation practice to help new and existing organizations alike to move intentionally toward the next economy.”
Bryan has been involved in over 350 startups, brought in more than $2 billion in investment and grants, and overseen an average of 90 licenses and 90+ patents per year at each institution. He is the author of several books and numerous articles.
He is a graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and holds an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University and a Ph.D. in political economy from Emory University.
